Why language does not matter for Google Play testing
Google Play requires 12 active testers for 14 consecutive days before granting production access. The requirement is about active usage, not language comprehension. Testers need to open the app, navigate through screens, interact with features, and keep it installed for the full testing period. None of this requires understanding the app's language.

What testers evaluate in your app

Navigation and user flows
Testers move through every screen, menu, and section of your app. They verify that all navigation paths work correctly and that users can reach every feature without getting stuck.
Buttons, forms, and interactions
Every tappable element is tested. Buttons, input fields, toggles, sliders, checkboxes, and dropdown menus are all verified to respond correctly to user input.
App stability and crashes
Testers monitor for crashes, freezes, and unexpected behavior during daily use. Any stability issues are flagged in the testing report with steps to reproduce.
Screen transitions and loading
The speed and smoothness of transitions between screens is evaluated. Testers check that loading states display properly and that the app does not hang between views.
Network and offline behavior
Testers check how the app handles network changes, slow connections, and offline mode. They verify that data syncs correctly and error states are handled gracefully.
Notifications and permissions
Push notifications, permission dialogs, and system integrations are tested. Testers verify that notification delivery, permission handling, and background processes all function correctly.

Google Play testing by language
No matter which language your app is in, the process is the same. Here is how it works for the most common languages developers ask about.
Italian, French, and Spanish apps
Romance language apps are among the most common we test. Our testers use Google Translate to understand Italian, French, and Spanish interfaces and test every screen, button, and feature daily for 14 days. Google does not require testers to be in Italy, France, or Spain. Testers from anywhere in the world count. After the 14-day cycle, you apply for production access and your app goes live on the Play Store.
German, Dutch, and Polish apps
German apps are one of the most frequently requested languages for our testing service. The same applies to Dutch and Polish apps. Our testers translate the interface, navigate all screens, and use the app every day. You do not need to find testers in Germany, the Netherlands, or Poland. Any active tester from any country satisfies Google's requirement.
Russian, Ukrainian, and Cyrillic-script apps
Apps using Cyrillic script are no different from any other language. Our testers use Google Translate to understand Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, and Serbian interfaces. They test all features thoroughly and maintain daily active usage throughout the 14-day testing period.
Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Asian language apps
CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) apps and other Asian language apps like Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian are tested the same way. Google Translate handles these scripts effectively, and our testers verify that all text renders correctly, input fields accept characters properly, and the entire user experience works as expected.
Arabic, Hindi, and RTL (right-to-left) apps
Right-to-left languages like Arabic, Hebrew, and Urdu, as well as complex-script languages like Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, and Telugu, are fully supported. Our testers use Google Translate and test that RTL layouts display correctly, text renders properly, and all app features work as intended. No special process is needed.
Portuguese apps
Portuguese apps, both Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese, are among the top requested languages. The testing process is identical. Our testers translate the interface, test every feature, and use the app daily. You do not need testers from Brazil or Portugal. After 14 days, you apply for production access and your app goes live for users worldwide.
