Find Free Android Testers for Google Play with the Testers Community App
50,000+ Android developers help each other complete Google Play's closed testing requirement (12 testers, 14 days) through a structured system that actually works.
A Free Community Built for One Purpose
Google Play requires your app to be tested by at least 12 people for 14 consecutive days before you can apply for production access. Sounds simple, but in practice, getting 12 people to actually open your app every day for two weeks is one of the hardest parts of publishing an Android app.
Testers Community solves this with a credit-based exchange: you test other developers' apps, earn credits, and use those credits to get your app tested back. It's completely free. No payment, no catch. The entire system is powered by the community itself.
The app gives you two systems to get tested. You can use either one, or both together for the best results.
Two Systems. One Goal.
The app has two distinct ways to get your app tested. Quick Apps gives you quick, casual installs. Packs give you deep, daily engagement for 16 straight days. The recommended approach is to use both at the same time.
Quick Apps: The Credit Exchange
Fast installs through community reciprocity
Quick Apps is the simplest way to get started. When you open the app, you'll see a feed of apps submitted by other developers who need testers. Each app shows what it does and how to test it.
Test 3 apps, earn 60 credits. Each app you test (download, use for a few minutes, leave feedback) earns you 20 credits. Once you have 60 credits, you can list your own app in the Quick Apps section. Other developers browsing the feed will then install and test yours.
You can re-list your app every 4 days for additional waves of testers. Quick Apps gives you a steady stream of installs, but the testers aren't committed to opening your app every day. That's where Packs come in.
The credit cycle
Browse the Quick Apps feed and pick an app to test
Download it, use it for a few minutes, leave feedback
Earn 20 credits per app. Test 3 apps to get 60 credits
Spend 60 credits to list your own app. Others test yours.

Packs: The Accountability System
16 developers, 16 days, daily commitment
Quick Apps gets you installs, but it doesn't get you daily engagement, which is what Google actually checks. Google doesn't just want 12 people to install your app. They want to see consistent, daily usage over the full testing period. That's the signal they're looking for.
A Pack is a group of exactly 16 developers who commit to opening each other's apps every single day for 16 days. Not as a favor. As a trade: your testing in exchange for theirs. Everyone needs everyone else, and that shared dependency is exactly what makes it work where everything else fails.
Packs are gamified with points, rewards, and a strike system. Developers who show up earn points. Developers who don't get strikes. Three strikes and you're removed. There's no way to coast. Everyone contributes, or everyone knows about it.
Your Pack dashboard: daily tasks and progress
How a Pack progresses
Every Pack moves through three phases. The first two exist to make sure everyone is committed before the real testing begins.
To join a Pack, you need 100 credit points, which you can earn by testing apps in the Quick Apps section. Once you create or join a Pack, you claim one of 16 spots. The Pack sits in Gathering until all 16 spots are filled, at which point it advances automatically. You're not doing anything yet, just waiting for the group to form.
Leaving during Gathering costs 50 credits. This prevents people from joining casually and abandoning the pack, which would leave others waiting indefinitely.
A Pack filling up: 11 of 16 spots taken
Once all 16 spots fill, the Pack moves to Installing. Every member has exactly 24 hours to install every other app in the Pack, all 15 of them. This is the trust-building phase: everyone is proving they're real and committed before the daily grind begins.
If a member doesn't install all apps within 24 hours, they are automatically removed from the Pack. The Pack then returns to the Gathering phase to find a replacement for that slot.
Similarly, if someone's app is broken, Pack members can report it. If an app receives 7 or more reports, it is removed from the Pack, and the Pack returns to Gathering to find a replacement. If the Pack can't advance after 5 days total, it's cancelled and everyone gets a full credit refund.
Time to install all apps
24h
or you're removed from the Pack
This is the phase that actually gets you production access. A 16-day countdown begins. Every single day, every developer in the Pack is assigned tasks: open each app in the group, use it, and send feedback. All 15 of them. Every day. For 16 days.
The app sends daily reminders. Your tasks are visible in the dashboard. You can see your progress, your strike count, and how many days are left. The system tracks everything, and everyone is held accountable.
Leaving during Active costs 200 credits, significantly higher because 15 other developers have already committed their time to testing your app.
Day 9 of 16: Active phase
9 days done. Today (Day 10) is active. 6 days remaining.
The daily task system
Each day during the Active phase, you're assigned tasks: open specific apps, use them, and send feedback. How many you complete determines whether you're rewarded, safe, or penalized.
Perfect Day
Complete 100% of tasks
Open every app and send feedback as assigned. Earn 15 credit points. String 16 perfect days together and earn an additional 50 bonus points, for a total of 290 points.
Safe Zone
Complete 70% or more
No strike, no reward. Life happens. The 70% threshold is your buffer for days when you can't get to everything.
Strike
Complete less than 70%
Reach 3 strikes and you're automatically removed. The remaining 15 developers continue without you. Your app leaves with you.
Track your daily progress and strike count
Recommended: use both systems together
This combined approach is the most reliable free path to production access.
Day 1
Earn 100 credits by testing apps in the Quick Apps section, then join a Pack. While it fills up (Gathering phase), keep earning more credits.

Common Questions
Is the Testers Community app completely free?
Yes. Downloading the app, earning credits, joining Packs, and using Quick Apps is completely free. The credit system is internal: you earn credits by testing other developers' apps. No payment required at any point.
How do I earn credits to list my app?
Browse the Quick Apps feed, download and test at least 3 other developers' apps (download, use, leave feedback). Each app you test earns 20 credits, giving you 60 credits total. That's enough to list your own app in Quick Apps. To join a Pack, you need 100 credits, which you can earn by continuing to test apps.
How long does the whole process take?
Earning credits takes about 15 to 20 minutes. A Pack's Active phase lasts 16 days. If you combine Packs with Quick Apps (recommended), you'll have strong daily engagement plus additional installs by the end of the 16 days.
Can I use Quick Apps and Packs at the same time?
Yes, and we strongly recommend it. Add your app to Quick Apps every 4 days while your Pack runs its 16-day Active phase. The two systems complement each other for the best results.
What if I miss a day during the Active phase?
Complete at least 70% of your daily tasks and you're in the Safe Zone with no strike. Only completing below 70% earns a strike. You can afford up to 2 strikes before the third one removes you from the Pack.
What happens if someone doesn't install apps within 24 hours?
They are automatically removed from the Pack. The Pack returns to the Gathering phase to find a replacement for that spot. The same happens if an app receives 7 or more reports from other Pack members.
What happens if my Pack gets cancelled?
If a Pack can't advance past the Installing phase after 5 days total, it's cancelled. Everyone receives a full credit refund and can immediately join or create a new Pack.
Why is the exit penalty higher during the Active phase?
By the time a Pack goes Active, 15 other developers have installed your app and committed to 16 days of daily testing. Leaving disrupts their entire testing period. The 200-credit penalty reflects the real cost of that disruption.
What counts as completing a daily task?
You need to open each assigned app, use it for a few minutes, and send feedback through the app. The system tracks this automatically and marks your tasks as complete.
Can I join multiple Packs at the same time?
You can only be in one Pack at a time. However, you can combine your Pack with Quick Apps listings every 4 days to maximize the number of testers for your app.
How is the free app different from the paid service?
The free app is community-powered: developers test each other's apps. The paid service provides 25 professional testers managed by our team, with a production access guarantee and full refund if Google rejects your app. Private Testing is also available at a lower price through our website.
Is there a way to get Private Testing cheaper?
Yes. Private Testing is available at a lower price when purchased through our website compared to the in-app price. Visit our pricing page to see the current rates.
