Country & language·3 min read
Is your app for one country or one language?
We test it without any issues. One Play Console setting during the test covers the rest.
Two questions we hear all the time: "My app only supports one country, can you test it?" and "My app is not in English, will testers understand it?" The answer to both is yes. Apps built for one specific market, Portugal, Brazil, the US, the UK, or anywhere else, go through testing and reach production access without any issues. Only one Play Console setting matters along the way.
Our testers are worldwide
Our testers are spread across 180+ countries, so a test from only your specific country is not something we promise. It has also never been needed: what Google measures during closed testing is real daily engagement, and that works the same no matter where your testers are.
- 1
During closed testing: select all countries
In your closed testing track, open the Countries / regions tab and select all countries so every tester can download and test your app. This setting only affects the closed test, not where your app will launch. The setup guide shows the exact screen. - 2
After production access: set it back
Once production access is granted, choose exactly the countries you want for your production release. Your public Play Store listing appears only in the markets you select, so your app launches precisely where you built it for.

What about the language?
Not a problem at all. Our testers work with apps in every language, week in and week out. When a tester does not speak yours, they translate the interface with tools like Google Translate and test every flow as usual. Apps fully in Portuguese, Arabic, French, and many other languages have gone through without any issues.
